World Golf Hall Of Fame Says "Thanks"
With Special Resident Rate And Exclusive Offer For Military

Guests Can Enjoy Special Offers While Bob Hope Exhibition is on Display

St. Augustine, Fla. (May 14, 2009) – This summer, the World Golf Hall of Fame will offer a respite from the heat and for the wallet by offering a special $10 admission for Florida and Georgia residents as well as free admission for United States military and reserve members from across the country, making a visit to the Hall of Fame and its special “Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory” an ideal summertime activity.  Both offers begin on Saturday, May 23.

“We are extremely thankful for our local residents who have supported the Hall of Fame throughout the years and for each individual in our community and beyond who has served our country,” said Jack Peter, Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the World Golf Hall of Fame. “This is just one way we can honor and thank those individuals and we look forward to welcoming them throughout this year.”

Retired and currently serving members of the military and reserve forces can enjoy complimentary admission through Independence Day, Saturday, July 4.  Residents of Florida and Georgia can enjoy admission to the World Golf Hall of Fame for only $10 from Memorial Day through Sunday, October 4.  Both discounts may be applied to the guest and up to four immediate family members.  Photo identification will be required upon entry.

All guests will have the opportunity to tour the 75,000-square-foot museum, including the featured exhibit, “Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory.” The exhibit offers the largest collection of the World Golf Hall of Fame member’s memorabilia ever placed on public display in a single exhibition and offers over two hours of video footage and an audio tour.  The exhibit focuses on Hope’s life on and off the golf course, including his passion and devotion to the United States Military.  Visitors also will get to try their hand at a round on the Hall’s 18-hole, natural-grass Putting Course, designed to United States Golf Association (USGA) specifications.  Putters and golf balls are provided at no additional cost.

Adjacent to the museum is the 2D World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX® Theater which features a variety of educational, entertaining and family friendly films.  From Memorial Day on, the theater will feature movies including Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and limited showings of other general-run films.  For ticket information and show times visit the IMAX section of www.wgv.com.
