World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum announces presenters
for 2012 Induction Ceremony
Jastrow, Laidlaw, Leach, Loy and Tarde to join May 7 Ceremony

St. Augustine, Fla. (March 28, 2012) -- The World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum is pleased to announce the five presenters for the Class of 2012 at the annual Induction Ceremony on May 7.

  • Terry Jastrow will be presenting for Peter Alliss. Jastrow is an acclaimed television producer and director. In a career that includes 24 years with ABC Sports, he has produced 68 golf major championships, in addition to six Olympic telecasts and a Super Bowl. He has won seven Emmy Awards. He played collegiate golf at the University of Houston and is a member of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame.
  • Renton Laidlaw will be presenting for Sandy Lyle. Laidlaw has been covering sports in the United Kingdom for more than 50 years and is one of its most respected television voices. He is the author of 12 books and received the Memorial Golf Journalism Award in 2000 and the PGA Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism in 2003.
  • Martha Leach will be presenting for Hollis Stacy. Leach is Stacy's younger sister and an accomplished player in her own right. She added to the family's list of USGA championships when she won the 2009 U.S. Mid-Amateur title. She is still active on the amateur circuit.
  • Steve Loy will be presenting Phil Mickelson. Loy began his career in golf as an outstanding college coach, winning three national titles and four coach of the year honors. Loy recruited Mickelson to play at Arizona State University and became his agent after Mickelson turned pro. Loy is President of Lagardere Unlimited Golf.
  • Jerry Tarde will be presenting Dan Jenkins. Tarde has been the chief editor at Golf Digest for 25 years and is the Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Golf Digest and the Chairman and Editorial Director of Golf Digest Publications. Tarde and the team of writers he has assembled have won 200 awards from the Golf Writers Association of America (GWAA) and have earned six nominations for National Magazine Awards.

"We are honored to have such a decorated group of presenters with us for the 2012 Induction Ceremony," said Jack Peter, Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Hall of Fame. "This year's Induction Ceremony will be another memorable event and adding the perspective of these presenters will ensure the Class of 2012 receives a warm welcome into the Hall of Fame family."

The 2012 Induction Ceremony will be May 7 at 6 p.m. ET in the St. Johns County Convention Center, located adjacent to the World Golf Hall of Fame at World Golf Village. The Ceremony will air on Golf Channel at 9:30ET.
