Norwood, IMG publicist and editor, passes away at 66

Bev Norwood, a publicist and editor at IMG for nearly 40 years, passed away on Sept. 5 after a battle with cancer at the Cleveland Clinic. He was 66. Norwood was a colleague and friend to several Hall of Fame members, especially Mark McCormack, who founded IMG on a handshake deal with Arnold Palmer.

Norwood was a close friend of Dan Jenkins, and the two regularly dined together at major championships. Norwood even became a character in a few of Jenkins’ books. Norwood was also involved in literary projects with Palmer, Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus.
