The annual KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, held in Harrison, New York during the week of June 8-14, 2015, jumpstarts Women’s Golf Month by bringing together the best female golfers to compete at the Westchester Country Club. Last year, South Korean Inbee Park defended her title at the Wegmans LPGA Championship in a sudden death playoff with Brittany Lincicome, bringing her total LPGA Tour victories to 14.

The Women’s PGA Championship title, founded in 1955, has been captured 36 times by 18 World Golf Hall of Fame members. Most notably, Mickey Wright won the championship an astounding four times in 1958, 1960, 1961 and 1963. Wright, a Californian, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1964.

Three-time winners include Nancy Lopez, Patty Sheehan, Se Ri Pak, Annika Sorenstam and Kathy Whitworth. Dame Laura Davies, 2015 World Golf Hall of Fame Inductee, championed the tournament twice in 1994 and again two years later in 1996.

Davies will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the St Andrews ceremony on July 13, 2015. The ceremony will be broadcast live on Golf Channel and Sky Sports at 1 p.m. EDT (6 p.m. GDT).

Be sure to visit the World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum throughout the week of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and learn about all the past champion Hall of Fame members with a special scavenger hunt in the museum. Enjoy the broadcast throughout the museum and capture a special photo opportunity with the championship trophy. Visit here for more information.
