Slammin' Sam Beer Tasting featuring Sam Snead, Jr. | Dec. 7, 5-7 p.m.
Join Sam Snead, Jr. son of Hall of Fame member Sam Snead, for a special evening of storytelling and a tasting of Slammin' Sam, The Smoothest Beer in Golf. The evening is presented by Slammin' Sam Beer Company, maker of this craft-brewed American Lager from Stevens Point Brewery in Wisconsin. Sam Snead, Jr. will be on hand to tell stories about his famed father who captured seven major championships and an all-time record of 82 PGA TOUR titles. Light refreshments will be served in addition to the beer tasting and with additional beverages available for purchase. The event will take place in Shell Hall within the World Golf Hall of Fame. St. Johns County Festival of Trees at World Golf Village | Nov. 30 - Dec. 9
The eighth-annual Festival of Trees will take place at the St. Johns County Convention Center adjacent to the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village. The event is free and open to the public, and showcases trees and wreaths decorated by businesses, organizations, families and friends from the community. Trees will be part of a silent auction and visitors will also be encouraged to fill out a ballot indicating the number of votes (in minimum $1 bids) they would like to cast for their favorite trees. Special opening night event on November 30 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.. All net proceeds raised during the event will go directly to the United Way of St. Johns County and the St. Augustine Record's Empty Stocking Fund. Opening Night at St. Johns County Festival of Trees at World Golf Village | Nov. 30 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Join Santa and Mrs. Claus and performers from the St. Augustine Ballet for the ribbon-cutting ceremony that will mark the start of this year's event at the St. Johns County Convention Center. Families will enjoy viewing the display of holiday trees, music, face painters, decorating holiday cookies courtesy of the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort, and viewing a short performance from "The Nutcracker" by costumed dancers. Northeast Florida Resident Pass Program | Aug. 31, 2012 - Jan. 6, 2013
Permanent residents of the seven Northeast Florida counties (Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns) are invited to participate in the World Golf Hall of Fame's Northeast Florida Resident Pass Program. Permanent residents who purchase a ticket to the World Golf Hall of Fame starting Aug. 31, 2012 can return to the Museum for free through Jan. 6, 2013.
To The Arctic with Santa | Dec. 8
Santa Claus will return to the World Golf Hall of Fame IMAX Theater to enjoy cookies and the thrilling IMAX documentary, "To The Arctic 3D." Santa will be available for photos with children at this family friendly event. The event opens with Santa and cookies at 1 p.m., and is followed by a 2 p.m. showing of To The Arctic 3D. The event is free for children (12 and under) signed up for the IMAX Annual Pass program. Tickets for adult Annual Pass members are $5, and non-member ticket prices are $7 for children and $10 for adults. Click here to register now.
2012 Inductee Exhibits
On display in the museum's Shell Hall are the 2012 Inductee Exhibits. Featuring the 2012 Class of Peter Alliss, Dan Jenkins, Sandy Lyle, Phil Mickelson and Hollis Stacy, the exhibits feature their inspirational stories accompanied by personal and professional memorabilia, awards and treasures they have accumulated over the years.
History in the Making
The Hall of Fame's newest exhibit concentrates on golf's most recent events, with memorabilia from professional tournaments, major championships and team events like the Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup and Presidents Cup. It will also highlight record-breaking performances and other historic moments, like Tiger Woods' victory at the 2012 Memorial Tournament.
Nancy Lopez: Pride, Passion & Personality - A special exhibit on display
The World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum celebrates one of the true legends in golf history with its latest special exhibition, "Nancy Lopez: Pride Passion & Personality." The special exhibit, which opened December 17, features more than 100 pieces of memorabilia from her electric career, including LPGA Championship trophies, her trophy from the inaugural Solheim Cup and even the legendary Ray Cook putter she used to win so many of her 48 LPGA titles. The exhibit is included with museum admission.
Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory
Trace Bob Hope's life from his immigration from England as a young child through his rise to the top of the century's major forms of entertainment -- vaudeville, Broadway, film, radio and television. Covering more than 3,000 square feet and offering the largest collection of Hope's memorabilia ever available on public display, the exhibition also looks at his devotion to the United States troops and the various ways he championed the game of golf.
