About Festival of Trees

The St. Johns County Festival of Trees at World Golf Village began in 2005 with the purpose of offering families in the area, as well as visitors, an enjoyable holiday event benefiting needy families and individuals in our own community of St. Johns County. Supported by the World Golf Hall of Fame, Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and Honours Golf; the Festival brings together businesses, organizations, churches, schools, friends and families who donate their time, talents, trees, wreaths and decorations -- all for the ultimate goal of creating a beautiful scene for visitors to enjoy and also to raise funds for the event's benefiting charities, The Empty Stocking Fund and the United Way of St. Johns County.

How to Donate

St. Johns County Festival of Trees raises funds for the charities via two avenues. Firstly, the public may take a ballot upon entering the event and "vote" for their favorite tress or wreaths with dollars ($1 = one vote, $50 = 50 votes and so on). Guests can then place their ballots in the ballot box located in the midst of all the beautifully decorated entries.

Secondly, each entry is part of the Festival's silent auction. Every tree or wreath has a silent auction bid sheet allowing the public to bid on any entry throughout the run of the event. Winners are announced after the official close of the event (Sunday, Dec. 9, 3 p.m.). Proceeds raised from both the public votes and the silent auction are split between the two charities.
