The 11th Annual Riding Into History at World Golf Village to Feature Clement Salvadori

St. Augustine, Fla. (May 6, 2010) - Riding Into History, one of America’s premier motorcycle events, will return to the World Golf Village Saturday, May 15, 2010. Famed author and motorcycle traveler Clement Salvadori will serve as Grand Marshall of the event, which will feature charity rides, the Concours d’Elegance, a Biker’s Ball and a historic ride. Proceeds from the 2010 Riding Into History will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Concours will feature the “Great Bikes of Great Britain,” and will display between 300 and 400 antique, vintage and classic motorcycles along the Walk of Champions. At the show, spectators can enjoy other exhibitors, entertainment, club set-ups and a variety of food. Craig Vetter, acclaimed designer and Motorcycle Hall of Fame member, also will present a free seminar at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. A donation of $10 for spectators is requested upon entry.

The charity rides will begin at 10 a.m. from two different locations, Harley Davidson of St. Augustine and BMW of Jacksonville, and will arrive by escort to the World Golf Village. The ride is $15 and includes admission into the Concours and VIP parking in the World Golf Village.

Following the Concours, guests are invited to attend the Biker’s Ball held at the Renaissance Resort at 6:30 p.m. The ball will feature an evening of dining and dancing in a classic British setting, followed by a silent auction. Tickets are $60 per person or $480 for a table of eight.

The annual Riding Into History Concours d’Elegance is presented by Riding Into History Inc., a 501(c)3 charity organization comprised of volunteer members from several motorcycle organizations, led by the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Northeast Florida (BMWNEF) and the Historic Motorcycle Society (HMS). Riding Into History is an AMA sanctioned event.

Internationally known motorcycle artist Don Bradley will once again provide the original artwork for the collectable posters. Posters, t-shirts and other items are available at www.RidingIntoHistory.org and also will be available for purchase at the event.
