King & Bear Will Celebrate 10th AnniversarySt. Augustine, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2010) - The King & Bear golf course, managed by Honours Golf, is a historic collaboration between World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum members Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. And now the course will be celebrating a little history of its own. The iconic track will celebrate its 10th anniversary in November. The course opened on Nov. 15, 2000, but King & Bear will be celebrating all month. Throughout November, every guest at King & Bear will receive a $10 merchandise gift card along with each green fee purchase. The gift card can be used in the King & Bear pro shop for any souvenirs or apparel. To all media interested in a retrospective of the 10 years of King & Bear, staff from the course and the World Golf Hall of Fame & Museum will be available for interviews. About The King & Bear The King & Bear golf course is a true collaboration of two of golf's greatest legends, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. The two Hall of Famers have collaborated on a truly remarkable golf course of unparalleled beauty, challenge and design. Set among pristine lakes, beautiful Loblolly pines, and stately oak trees, each hole of this championship layout contains characteristics of both players. It is a driver's" course, stretching over 7,200 yards; which should come as no surprise as both Palmer and Nicklaus wielded awesome power games in their primes. Since its inception in 2000, the King & Bear has hosted the Legends of Golf, a Champions Tour event; a Shell's Wonderful World of Golf match between Palmer and Nicklaus; and Qualifying Schools for the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour.
